23 Rd Jan. 2011

This is another PEAK shot. Planned over a couple of days. Just hours before we were checking radar for storms and cloud. Arriving just on time I already had my 35mm f 2 lens on the camera, the aperture set and the 4 filters in place on the camera. Colour temp was set to 5300K. I bit low  as I found out within a frame of two. The image were taken with the SONY DRC bracket.  This produced 2 great files. This was put first in DXO and then Adobe RAW as was the jpeg file. Adjustment were made in just a few minutes in a  menus. Hay .Look good.

The plan was invaluable. I got a number of good images. Exposures ranged from 1/3 sec to 2.5 minutes at f 8.
Well worth going to make the effort.

PEAK photo system

What is " PEAK" photo system?
PEAK stands for Planning Exposing Adjusting Knowledge. It is a management system for photographic images.  I wanted to write down a " production'' system for photos that would deliver excellent image quality  each and every time.
It had to be simple in concept, apply to all types of images and not constrict the creative process.
Great thinks were my mentors, Leonado Da Vinci,Aristotle, Ansel Adams and Cartier- Bresson.
After nearly five years of trying and at least one year in editing trade testing Version 1 is ready for release.
I will be using PEAK as the basis for all my teaching programs in 2011.

PEAK is a "thinking method" for images. It places before you a structure, so as to '' plan or pre-visualize images. you will be able to expose them with a high degree of certainty, adjust them in post production: plus be confident in the knowledge that you have done your best.

Like the shell above. PEAK is just a shell in which you can live. It is practical, simple, elegant and allows for personal growth and creativity within the imaging structure.

It is a classic method which will fit right into the digital imaging word.  It is designed to for the professional and hobbyists alike.
